Salesforce for Outlook Is Being Retired in December 2020

Salesforce for Outlook will no longer function when extended support for Microsoft® Internet Explorer 11 ends in December 2020. But check out the advancements made in our next-generation products, the Outlook Integration and Einstein Activity Capture, and learn about making the move.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Contact Manager, Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

When: Salesforce for Outlook will be retired in December 2020.

Why: Along with the end of extended support for IE11, Salesforce for Outlook will no longer be able to sync contacts, events, or tasks. Likewise, the Salesforce for Outlook Side Panel won’t connect to Salesforce, so sales reps can’t work with their Salesforce records from Microsoft Outlook®.

To continue integrating Outlook and Salesforce, we encourage customers to explore our suggested next-generation product options.

How: To learn more about the retirement and to compare replacement products, see Salesforce for Outlook Retirement.
