Enable Quick Text to Access Text Shortcuts in the Gmail Integration

Now text shortcuts are stored so that reps can access text shortcuts and individual quick text wherever they compose email. This change requires the Quick Text feature to be on to access text shortcuts in the Gmail integration. With this change, individual quick text phrases saved to the Email Channel in Salesforce are available as a text shortcut in the Gmail integration. Text shortcuts created starting in Summer ’20 are available as individual quick text in Salesforce.

Where: This change applies to Salesforce Inbox, available for an extra cost in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions, and at no cost in Essentials editions.

How: The Quick Text feature is on by default in Lightning Experience, and on by default in Salesforce Classic when Chat is enabled. To enable it, from Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Quick Text Settings, then select Quick Text Settings. Click Enable Quick Text. No other quick text settings are required.



Shared quick texts are only available when composing emails from within Salesforce.
