Bring Results into Focus with Optimization Insights (Beta)

Learn at a glance how global optimization affects your KPIs. When you tweak a scheduling policy and optimize the schedule, you can see if the change lowers travel times or improves utilization. A results snapshot shows metrics before and after the optimization.
Where: This feature applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with the Field Service Lightning managed package installed.


As a beta feature, Optimization Insights is a preview and isn’t part of the “Services” under your master subscription agreement with Salesforce. Use this feature at your sole discretion, and make your purchase decisions only on the basis of generally available products and features. Salesforce doesn’t guarantee general availability of this feature within any particular time frame or at all, and we can discontinue it at any time. How: In Field Service Settings | Optimization, enable Optimization Insights. Using Lightning App Builder, edit an optimization request page and add the three custom Lightning components. After a global optimization completes, the components provide metrics (1), KPIs by territory (2), and a summary that includes optimization and scheduling policy details (3).

Optimization insights shows the impact on travel and utilization.
