The Lightning dashboard table, a new dashboard table component, shows
up to 200 records and 10 columns from the fields available in a source report’s report type.
Because the available fields come from the source report’s report type, the columns shown in a
Lightning dashboard table don’t need to be added to the source report as columns. Add a

This feature is new in Lightning Experience.
Now that Lightning dashboard tables are generally available, we’ve removed the org preference
for turning them on and off from Setup.
Lightning dashboard tables aren’t available in Salesforce Classic. You can’t add them from the
Classic dashboard builder, nor can you see them when you view a dashboard in Salesforce
Lightning dashboard tables now support these features, which were unavailable in the beta version:
- Chatter photos
- Conditional highlighting
- Dashboard filter compatibility
- Show total
- Reorder table columns: drag and drop columns in the column list (but not the preview) to
change their order
