Launch Flows in Standard Navigation Apps with Lightning Flow for Service

Guide your users through a multi-step process, like a call script, with Lightning Flow for Service and the Guided Action List. Help your service agents and sales reps provide a consistent experience to customers. When there’s a hand-off, customers don’t have to start over or repeat themselves. Previously, you could add the Guided Action List component only to record pages in a console app.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: If you’ve used the Guided Action List component in a console app, the procedure to configure it in a standard navigation app is the same. In a standard navigation app, when a record that has an associated flow is opened, the flow launches in a popup window instead of a subtab.

Associate records to flows using Salesforce automation tools. In the Lightning App Builder, add the Guided Action List component to a record page. You can configure default flows for specific channels, like phone and chat, and specify which flows you want users to complete first and last.

When a flow is launched from the Guided Action List, it runs in a popup window. When the process completes, the popup closes, and the component updates to show the status as completed. In a standard navigation app, a guided action opens in a popup window.
