Notification Banner Permission Changes
We’ve changed which notification banners that users with default
roles can see in Pardot. We’ve also added custom role permissions to help you manage what your
users with custom roles can see.
Where: The default user permissions change applies to all Pardot editions. Custom role permissions are available in Pardot accounts with custom roles.
When: These changes are available after December 5, 2018.
Why: Now users can see notification banners for their default user role and all of the
roles below it.
- Admins can see banners for Admin, Marketing, Sales Manager, and Sales user roles.
- Marketing users can see banners for Marketing, Sales Manager, and Sales user roles.
- Sales Managers can see banners for Sales Manager and Sales user roles.
- Sales users can see banners for the Sales user role.
How: The change to default roles doesn’t require any action on your part. Users with custom roles can’t see banner notifications unless an admin adds the permissions to their roles. Adjust permissions from the Notification Banner module in the Admin tab of the custom roles editor.
