Price Percent of Total Products Based on the Entire Bundle

We've added the Entire Hierarchy value to the product option’s Percent of Total Scope field. Choose it to base your percent of total product’s price off the entire bundle configuration that it's a part of, including all parent and child bundles. This scope excludes only other percent of total products in the configuration.

Where: This change applies to Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience in all Salesforce CPQ editions.

Why: Previously, percent of total scopes couldn’t cover child bundles or anything above the first level of a parent bundle. You had to make several percent of total products to cover every bundle configuration within a product. Hierarchy scopes reduce the number of percent of total products required to cover your bundle’s entire configuration. This scope is useful if you want a single warranty percent of total product option that covers a bundle with several levels of parent and child bundles.

In this example, Option A includes the entire configuration’s $1155 in its scope.

How: On your product option for a percent of total product, choose the Entire Hierarchy value for the Percent of Total Scope field.
