Keep Members Engaged with Recognition Badges (Generally Available)

Get and keep your members engaged by giving them recognition badges. We start you off with four: Congratulations, Welcome, Nice Work, and Thanks. You can also create your own with images and messaging.

Where: This feature is available in Lightning communities accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Communities are available in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: Enable Work.com’s Thanks feature. In Classic, from Setup enter Work.com in the Quick Find box, and then select Work.com Settings.

Select Enable and save. We recommend that you allow only community managers to create custom badges to keep control of the number of badges created and avoid duplicates. Use permission sets or edit user profiles to include permissions for creating and giving badges.

Then go to your Lightning Community’s Workspaces, and click Gamification.

Turn on Recognition Badges and you’re ready to go. From the main page, you can create badges and manage your existing ones.

To determine who can give a particular badge, select Manage Badge Givers from the listview row actions and add members.

Note

The Manage Badge Givers option is not available for public badges. To change the status of a badge, edit the badge and deselect Public. You can now choose who can give the badge.
