Discover Preferences for Consent Across Multiple Records

Easily track customer preferences for consent across multiple records using the REST API.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience, Salesforce Classic, and all versions of the mobile app in all editions.

Why: Because your users can store requests for consent in multiple locations and possibly inconsistently, we make it easy for you to locate the requests across the records related to your customers. Regardless of whether you’re complying with data protection and privacy regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), discovering the most restrictive preferences can help you honor your customers’ wishes.

How: To use this API, you must have either the View All Data or the Allow User Access to Privacy Data user permission enabled. For details, refer to the Consent API in the REST API Developer Guide.
