How: You still upload your .csv file from the Analytics Studio or data manager. When the upload starts, you see the status dialog, where you can track the dataset creation progress.Dialog showing status of file uploadWhen the data has been uploaded, the dataset is queued, prepared, and then created. During these stages, you can click the Continue in the background and check progress in the data monitor link to leave the process running in one tab and jump to the data manager in a new tab. When the process finishes, the edit page of the new dataset opens, from where you can start exploring and preparing.

If you close the progress dialog, dataset creation continues in the background, but the dataset edit page doesn’t open automatically when the process is finished.
