sharing your data by hiding a widget’s actions.
Explore Data from Multiple Datasets in a Single Lens
Sometimes the data you want to explore and visualize reside in different datasets. Don’t let that stop you from drilling into your data. You can now combine multiple datasets in a lens and discover insights about your business faster.
Add Date Filters Faster
You loved the new and improved date filter in dashboards, global filters, and date widgets. So we rolled it out in the explorer too. Choose from the list of preset dates, or customize the date range filter to focus on the time period that’s most relevant to you. You can also manually enter the date range for a relative date filter applied to a visualization. And the new toggle in the relative date filter lets you switch easily between calendar year and fiscal year.
Rename the Count of Rows Label
If you’re a multitasking explorer and have different datasets open to its initial state, it can be hard to tell them apart. Eliminate the guesswork. To help you identify a dataset lens quicker, you can change the Count of Rows label in the lens.
Add Your Own Maps to Analytics with a Few Clicks
Analytics comes with prepackaged maps that you can use in map, bubble map, and geo map charts. If you need a map that isn’t available, upload the geoJSON file to the user interface to create it. Set the boundaries to focus on a specific region.
Hide Widget Actions from Dashboard Viewers
Hide a widget’s action menu to prevent users from downloading, sharing, and exploring the widget’s results. Or hide it when it’s not useful or when the action dropdown arrow is too distracting in smaller widgets.
Look into the Future with the SAQL Timeseries Function
You know that next quarter’s and next year’s numbers won’t be the same as today’s, but what might they be? You need to plan your staffing, training, and purchasing today. With the SAQL timeseries function, you can use the data you have today to predict your numbers in the future.
Fill Missing Dates in a Data Stream with the SAQL Fill Function
You want to analyze your data with interactive graphs and predict future numbers with the timeseries function. To do this, your data stream must contain a row for every date. But your data has some date gaps - you didn't close a deal every month and no one bought toboggans in the summer. No problem! Use the SAQL fill function to fill the date gaps with null rows, then unlock the power of Analytics.
