Build Faster with Salesforce Developer Tools for Visual Studio Code (Generally Available)

Salesforce Developer Tools for Visual Studio Code is an open-source extension pack that includes tools for developing on the Salesforce Platform. Use the extension pack to employ the source-driven Salesforce DX development flow in the lightweight, extensible VS Code editor. These extensions provide features for working with scratch orgs, Apex, Lightning components, and Visualforce. Salesforce Developer Tools for Visual Studio Code will be generally available in mid-October 2017, with added features such as the Apex Debugger.

To use Salesforce Development Tools for Visual Studio Code, install the salesforcedx-vscode extension pack, which installs all the extensions you need.

The extensions in the salesforcedx-vscode extension pack include:
salesforcedx-vscode-core
This extension interacts with the Salesforce CLI to provide basic Salesforce DX functionality.
salesforcedx-vscode-apex
This extension uses the Apex Language Server to provide features such as syntax highlighting and code completion.
salesforcedx-vscode-apex
This extension lets you use your Apex Debugger licenses to interactively debug issues in your scratch orgs.
salesforcedx-vscode-lightning
This extension supports Lightning component bundles. It uses the HTML language server from VS Code.
salesforcedx-vscode-visualforce
This extension supports Visualforce pages and components. It uses the HTML language server from VS Code.
