SEO-Friendly URLs for Case, Dashboard, Group, and Report Detail Pages

Last release, we introduced SEO-friendly URL redirects for most object detail pages, but Case, Dashboard, Group, and Report missed out on the fun. Well, their party time starts now!

To create a user-readable URL for an object’s detail page, we append the value of the object’s Name field to the URL. For example, for AW Computing’s Group Detail page, we redirect https://mycommunity.com/s/group/001R0000002NzuaIAC to https://mycommunity.com/s/group/001R0000002NzuaIAC/aw-computing.

When the Name field isn’t available for an object, we use the Subject or Title fields. Otherwise, we append “detail” to the URL.

Note

SEO-friendly URLs aren’t supported for the Streams and the User Profile detail pages. No party for those guys.
