Sort Your Files Search Results with New Fields
You asked for improved files search functions, and here they are.
Files search results are now sortable with more fields to help you find the files you’re
looking for faster. This feature is available in Lightning Experience and Lightning
communities.
New Search layouts give you better control over search results. The Files search results layout includes a new field: Last Modified Date. Sort results by relevance, title, size, file extension, last modified date, and owner. Although it’s not added to the layout by default, you can also add Created Date to search on the date the file was created.
When you choose a sort order, you can toggle an arrow on the column header to sort in ascending or descending order.
Enable and modify search layouts in Setup. The updated search fields appear automatically. In Lightning Experience, search Setup for Object Manager. Select Content Version, and choose Page Layouts.
