Cisco Spark for Salesforce: Connect with Customers and Reps Without Leaving Salesforce (Generally Available)

When reps link their Cisco Spark™ account to Salesforce, they can see who’s online, initiate video meetings, and send and receive instant messages. This change applies to Lightning Experience only.
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

Cisco Spark for Salesforce is a suite of tools that includes these Lightning components.
  • Cisco Spark Conversation—Lets users on a record page initiate video meetings and send instant messages directly from the record. Add this component to a Lightning record page using the Lightning App Builder.
  • Cisco Spark Group Conversations—Lets users on a record page see which Cisco Spark workspaces are associated with the record, create spaces, search for spaces, and link and unlink spaces from the record. Add this component to a Lightning record page using the Lightning App Builder.
  • Cisco Spark—This component works in a Lightning app’s utility bar, and shows the most recent spaces and people that a user has interacted with. Add this component to an app in Setup using the App Manager.

To start letting reps communicate with Cisco Spark for Salesforce, create a permission set for Cisco Spark users and assign the permission set to them. Then, add the Lightning components we mentioned to the Lightning pages and apps that your reps use most.

Using Cisco Spark for Salesforce, reps can:
  • See others’ availability
  • Send and receive instant messages
