Increase Security with Encryption for Chatter (Generally Available)
Mass encryption and decryption of Chatter data is now generally available. With encryption for Chatter, your company can confidently comply with privacy policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations for handling Chatter data. Encrypted fields work normally throughout the Salesforce user interface, business processes, and APIs. This feature is available in Lightning Experience, Lightning communities, Salesforce Classic, Salesforce for Android, Salesforce for iOS, and Salesforce mobile web. -
View All Your Community Streams in Salesforce (Pilot)
Reduce context-switching and gain seamless access to all your streams with cross-community streams. Now you have easy access to all your streams, whether internal or community-based, in your internal Salesforce org. Cross-community streams are available in Lightning Experience and Lightning communities. -
Increase the Visibility of Critical Information with Pinned Posts (Beta)
Ensure that your most critical information gets the best exposure with post pinning. In Chatter group and topics feeds, when someone posts critical information, an authorized user can pin that post to the top of the feed. The post stays in place until an authorized user unpins it. Post pinning is available in Lightning Experience and Lightning communities. -
Spice Up Your Conversations with Emojis
Emojis have arrived! Engage your audience by adding zest to your feed. When you post, comment, and add details to your questions, or when you answer questions, the emoji icon appears in the Chatter publisher. Emojis are available in Lightning Experience and Lightning communities. -
Enable Topic Suggestions For Your Org
Topics suggestions are helpful when you want to encourage folks to add topics to their posts and questions. At the same time, having the flexibility of turning off topic suggestions is also key. We now give you the option to turn off topic suggestions for your org. The permission is enabled by default, so contact Salesforce Customer Support to disable topic suggestions.This change applies to both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.
