Salesforce1 Downloadable Apps for iOS and Android Version 7.0 Generally Available

The Salesforce1 Downloadable App for iOS version 7.0 is currently available for download in the Apple App Store.

The Salesforce1 Downloadable App for Android version 7.0 will be available soon on Google Play. When the release is announced, the app will be gradually rolled out to users over the course of several days.

Let Your Users Control Task Notifications Globally
Corrected the information about tasks that are generated by the triggerUserEmail field: If you don’t expose the user setting, then the triggerUserEmail field continues to support sending an email when a task is created or modified.
Labels Changed in User Settings
Corrected the information about changes to the labels in the user settings. In My Settings, Calendar and Reminders was not changed between Summer ’14 and Winter ’15. Under Calendar and Reminders, the Reminders page has been renamed Reminders & Alerts.
Salesforce1 Enhancements
Salesforce1 Downloadable App for Android Version 6.0 Generally Available
What’s new in version 6.0:
  • View Salesforce data with Offline Cache
  • Quickly switch between accounts in multiple organizations and communities
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

The Salesforce1 Downloadable App for Android Version 6.0 will available on Google Play for all users a few days after the initial release date.

API Access Change for Connected Apps
Added information about an API access change for some Salesforce and partner connected apps, including Salesforce1, Salesforce for Outlook, and Connect for Outlook. All users of connected apps affected by this change must have the “API Enabled” profile permission turned on to allow access to all features.
Salesforce1 Enhancements
Updated information in the “Work with More Objects Offline” topic about support for the Salesforce Today app when offline; corrected It’s Easier to Update Tasks in a List to indicate the enhancement is available in the Salesforce1 mobile browser app only; refined the topics about the action bar and list item actions (formerly called row-level actions); and added several new screenshots.
New and Changed Chatter REST API Response Bodies
The reputation property has been added to the User Summary response body. It was previously available only in the User Detail response body.
New and Changed Chatter in Apex Output Classes
The reputation property has been moved from the ConnectApi.UserDetail class to the abstract ConnectApi.User class. The ConnectApi.User class is the superclass of the ConnectApi.UserDetail and the ConnectApi.UserSummary classes.
New and Changed Apex Classes
Added the Auth.CommunitiesUtil class.
New Names for Reporting Products and Features
Added a release note detailing changes to the names of some reporting products and features.

It’s Easier to Create a Task
Added information about limitations of the simpler New Task page in Salesforce1. If users in your organization need to create tasks of more than one record type, consider disabling the new page, because the page doesn’t let users choose a record type when they create a task. Also, the new page requires the global task create action in the global action layout.
