Organize Sales Cadence Emails as a Thread

See sales cadence and prospect emails organized as a thread so sales reps can see more of their interactions with each prospect. Sales managers can group some or all emails from a sales cadence into a thread so reps can see all email activity in one place.

Where: This change applies to High Velocity Sales in Lightning Experience. High Velocity Sales is available as an add-on in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

Why: When sales managers create a sales cadence, they can set manual email steps to thread with emails from previous email steps. If the subsequent emails use a different template with a different email subject, the subject changes to match the previous email, preceded by “RE:“.

Sales reps can complete threaded email steps from Lightning Experience, Outlook, or Gmail.

How: After the manual email step in a sales cadence, each subsequent manual email is set to thread with the previous email steps.

To start a new thread in the sales cadence, deselect Add to email thread. Each automated email step also starts a new thread.



When a sales cadence step specifies a threaded email, a Salesforce email address is added in the BCC field, except when emails are sent using Send Through Salesforce.

Sales reps can see the BCC address in their email application’s Sent Items folder.
