Other Enhancements to Reports in Lightning Experience
In addition to this release’s major features, we’ve made some
small-but-notable improvements to reports.

Why: Here’s why you’ll love the other enhancements to reports.
- Picklist Fields Accept Null Values
- When filtering on a picklist field, to limit results to records that are blank or contain “null” values, select No Selection from the picklist and click Apply.
- Custom Date Ranges Can Be Open-Ended
- When applying a filter on a date field, in a date column’s Edit Filter box, specify just the Start Date to include records after your specified date. Similarly, you can specify just the End Date to include records before your specified date.
- Date Ranges Accept Manually Entered Values
- As an alternative to selecting the dates in a date range, you can type Start Date and End Date values in a date column’s Edit Filter box.
- Don’t Worry about Losing Unsaved Changes in Your Report
- When you navigate away from a report that has unsaved changes, we’ll prompt you to save your work.
