Update Your <ui:button> Overrides for Some Lightning Community Components
We changed the <ui:button> to
<lighting:button> in these Community Builder components: Case Deflection,
Global Search for Peer-To-Peer Communities, Search & Post Publisher, Topic Articles by
Topic, and Related Record List.
Where: This change applies to Lightning communities accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Communities are available in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.
Why: The following buttons have been updated to <lighting:button>.
- The mobile modal Close button in the Case Deflection component
- The Search, mobile Search, and Close buttons in the Global Search For Peer-To-Peer Communities component
- The Search and Close buttons in the Search & Post Publisher component
- The Show More button in the Top Articles By Topic component
- The View More button in the Related Record List component
The lightning namespace components are optimized for common use cases. Beyond being equipped with the Lightning Design System styling, they handle accessibility, real-time interaction, and enhanced error messages.
