Recommend Actions and Offers to Community Members (Pilot)

Add the new Recommended Actions component to run a strategy that determines which propositions to display to your Lightning community members. Propositions can serve any purpose, such as providing a common action or a special offer. When setting up a strategy, you can determine conditions for displaying a given proposition. This component is available as part of the Einstein Next Best Action pilot.

Where: This feature is available in Lightning communities, accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Communities are available in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Einstein Next Best Action isn’t generally available unless or until Salesforce announces its general availability in documentation or in press releases or public statements. We can’t guarantee general availability within any particular time frame or at all. Make your purchase decisions only on the basis of generally available products and features. You can provide feedback and suggestions for Einstein Next Best Action in the IdeaExchange.

Who: When a user clicks a proposition button, a screen flow is launched. To run a flow, your community members must have either the Run Flows permission or the Flow User field enabled on the user detail page. Flows aren’t supported for unauthenticated users.

Why: Let’s say a customer creates a case with support and then clicks a link to track its progress. If the description includes “lost credit card,” your community displays two recommended flows: one that offers free identity protection, and one that lets the customer dispute recent credit card charges.

A Recommended Actions component in a community page. It displays the ID Protection and Dispute a Charge flows because the associated case's description included "lost credit card".
