Get More Flexibility with Calendars in Communities
Users can quickly update calendar events by dragging them to new time
slots. They can also open or hide the side panel details.
Where: This feature is available in Lightning communities, accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Communities are available in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

The option to hide or open the side panel in the Communities Calendar is only available in calendars that have been configured to Show Calendar Sidebar.
