Display Einstein Discovery Recommendations on a Salesforce Object (Generally Available)

Where: This change applies to Einstein Analytics in Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic. Einstein Analytics and Einstein Discovery are available for an extra cost in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions, and they’re also available in Developer Edition.

Who: To connect an Einstein Discovery model to a Salesforce object, a user must have the Connect Einstein Discovery Model permission. To install the managed package, a user must have the Customize Application AND Modify All Data permissions, OR the Manage Connected Apps permission. To define an Apex trigger, a user must have the Author Apex permission.

How: Create a story in Einstein Discovery, then deploy the model to Salesforce. Create custom fields in Salesforce to display the recommendations, then connect Einstein Discovery to the custom fields. Install a managed package to help you create your apex triggers. Then create the apex trigger to retrieve the Einstein Discovery predictions whenever the data is updated.
