Stay More Productive with Lightning Sync (Generally Available)

No need to hold off any longer! Lightning Sync for Google is generally available and open for business! When you set up your reps to sync contacts and events between their G Suite account and Salesforce, you give them an opportunity to be more productive. Save your reps time and eliminate unnecessary data entry while also doing your part to promote Salesforce adoption across your team. This change applies to Lightning Experience, Salesforce Classic, and all versions of the Salesforce1 mobile app.

User Permissions Needed
To prepare your Google for Work account to communicate with Salesforce: The Owner role on your company’s Google for Work account, which gives you administrative permissions
To access Lightning Sync setup in Salesforce: Customize Application
To create, edit, or delete Lightning Sync configurations: Manage Exchange Configurations

AND

Manage Users

Lightning Sync also lets reps work from their preferred platform, because new and updated contacts and events sync whether reps are working from their desks or from their mobile devices.
