Dataset Changes in B2B Marketing Analytics Apps

To make sure that your B2B Marketing Analytics datasets provide the most accurate data to your dashboards, we restructured a few things. Previously, dashboard widgets were limited to consider only one prospect associated with one opportunity. However, relationships are often more complex. We also updated widget formulas, faceting, and date filtering to give you a more powerful dashboard experience.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic and is included with Pardot Plus and Advanced. The change also affects Pardot Pro and Ultimate editions with the B2B Marketing Analytics add-on.

Why: Some columns have moved and some field names have been changed, which breaks customized lenses or dashboards using these fields. We recommend that you recreate those customizations on lenses and save them outside of the B2B Marketing Analytics app.

We added a date filter on the Prospect dataset, and updated the date filter criteria on the Opportunity dataset. These changes affect the amount of data represented in each dataset.

In a separate filter change, the global data range filter on the Marketing Manager, Pipeline, and Account-Based Marketing dashboards was updated. The new filter can also affect values in each widget. For example, on opportunity-related widgets, the date filter now considers the Created Date of the opportunity instead of when the associated prospect was created. The result is more accurate, but can be different from what you’re used to seeing.
