Allow greater flexibility for market development funds that are applied to campaigns and automations, while maintaining control of the budget amount. Free your channel account manager from managing everyone’s budgets by letting partner users manage their own. Budget hierarchies let your channel account manager create child budgets that partner users can administer. The information still rolls up to the channel account manager, but partner users have the autonomy to allocate and approve within their own organization.

Where: This change applies to Lightning and Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce communities accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: Create child budgets five levels in the hierarchy. You can create any combination of child budgets and allocations from a budget, as long as they don’t exceed the total budget amount and maximum number of hierarchy levels.
