Filter Dashboards in Lightning Experience

Dashboard filters are now available while viewing dashboards in both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience.

Your Sales Overview dashboard effectively summarizes your sales team’s accomplishments, but what if dashboard readers only want to know how things are going in the southwest? Add a region filter, and enable folks to scope the dashboard so that it only shows data that they need.

Filtering a Dashboard in Lightning Experience

In Lightning Experience you can apply or clear dashboard filters created in Salesforce Classic. To add or remove filters — or edit, clone, or delete filtered dashboards — switch to Salesforce Classic.

When you drill into a report from a filtered dashboard in Lightning Experience, the report isn’t filtered. In Salesforce Classic, when you drill into a report from a filtered dashboard, the report is filtered in the same way as the dashboard.
