The Salesforce integration with Mulesoft allows you to access and
manage system API integration with your connected apps, providing a seamless user experience
during login. As part of this experience, you can now enable OpenID Connect single sign-on (SSO)
and authentication for Mulesoft Access Management when Salesforce is the identity provider. SAML
SSO is already supported. With SSO, users can log in to Salesforce and access Mulesoft without
separately logging in to Mulesoft. With OpenID Connect authentication, users can log in from
Salesforce to access Mulesoft.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Enterprise,
Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.
How: The Salesforce OAuth 2.0 token endpoint now accepts client credentials in the basic
authentication header of the HTTP request. Salesforce can be the OpenID Connect authentication
provider for Mulesoft.
