Ensure Access to Documents with Proper Permissions

Ensure that your community users can access documents by verifying access to Documents in their profile. If users don’t have Read access to Documents on their profile, they see an “Insufficient Privileges” error.

Where: This change applies to Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce communities, accessed through Salesforce Classic. Communities are available in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

How: Modify user profiles to allow at least Read access to the Document object on the profile.
