SAML Single Logout (SLO) Is Available (Beta)

When you enable SLO, your users are logged out from all connected apps (service providers) when they log out of Salesforce. Likewise, when your users log out from a service provider, they are logged out of Salesforce and all service providers. Salesforce supports only front-channel SAML Single Logout for which Salesforce is the identity provider and service providers are registered for Single Logout.

Note

Note

This release contains a beta version of Single Logout, which means it’s a high-quality feature with known limitations. Single Logout isn’t generally available unless or until Salesforce announces its general availability in documentation or in press releases or public statements. We can’t guarantee general availability within any particular time frame or at all. Make your purchase decisions only on the basis of generally available products and features. You can provide feedback and suggestions for Single Logout in the Salesforce Identity group in the Success Community.

Logging users out of all connected apps can improve security and usability. Previously, when Salesforce was the identity provider, your users had to log out of each connected app separately.
