Take Action with Knowledge Articles in the Sidebar

Users can edit, publish, and archive articles in the Knowledge sidebar from the Service Console. This change applies to Lightning Experience only.

The Knowledge Sidebar component (previously called the “Article Search” component in the Spring '17 Beta release of Lightning Knowledge), comes with new authoring actions that let agents easily edit, publish, and archive any visible articles in the Knowledge sidebar from the Service Console. The visible authoring actions (Archive, Edit, Delete, Publish) depend on draft status of the article (Draft, Published, Archive). Agents see this feature if they are Knowledge users and have the necessary authoring permissions in their User Profile or Perm Set.
