As a bonus, when reps relate Google events to Salesforce using Lightning for Gmail, edits made in Google Calendar sync back to Salesforce, keeping important Salesforce events up to date automatically.
Set up reps to select which Google events sync to Salesforce.
- Enable Lightning for Gmail for reps, if you haven’t already.
- Tell reps that from now on, events that they relate to Salesforce records using Lightning for Gmail are syncing to Salesforce. Reps should edit event fields that sync (like date, time, subject, or description) in Google Calendar, not from Salesforce. That way, Lightning Sync doesn’t overwrite those edits in Salesforce.
- In reps’ Lightning Sync configurations, enable the feature. For the option Specify Which Google Events Sync to Salesforce, select Events Users Select.
