Relate Emails You’re Composing to Salesforce Records

Team members don’t have to wait until they’ve sent their emails or toggle between their email folders to relate emails to Salesforce. Reps can relate emails to Salesforce records when they write emails. This change applies to both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.

When drafting an email or a reply, reps can select a relevant account, opportunity, case, or custom object to relate the email to. Lightning for Gmail relates the email to the selected record, plus any contacts, leads, and users with a matching record in Salesforce. Reps can also choose to relate an email to just those individuals who appear in the People section of Lightning for Gmail.

To set up this feature, from the Lightning for Gmail Settings page, verify that Enhanced Email and Email to Salesforce are enabled in your org.
