Show Custom Apps in Lightning Experience

There’s no time like now to make the switch to Lightning Experience. If your org is still using Salesforce Classic, we’re changing your custom app settings so users can use Classic apps in Lightning Experience when you make the switch. This change applies only to orgs that haven’t enabled Lightning Experience. If you’ve already enabled Lightning Experience, your current custom app settings are retained.
Here’s what to expect when you add a custom Classic app after the Summer ’17 release.
  • If you haven’t enabled Lighting Experience for your org, Show in Lightning Experience is enabled by default.
  • If you’ve enabled Lightning Experience for your org, Show in Lightning Experience is disabled by default.
Don’t worry. This change has no impact on the functionality of your custom apps, and the setting doesn’t affect custom Classic apps that are part of a managed package.
