Track Time with the New Time Field Type (Pilot)
Sometimes you require a time of day that is not specific to a single date, or you want
to compare times of the day to calculate a duration. The Time type tracks time or indicates
date-independent time. The Time type is useful for time management, event planning, and project
management. You can use it to indicate business hours, preferred contact times, repeated event
times, like a hotel check-in time, or track a call waiting time.

The Time type is essentially a timestamp without the date included. You can select the Time field type when you create a new custom field.
Be aware of these behaviors when using the Time type.
- The Time type uses a 24-hour notation.
- You can display time in HH:MM, for example, 14:40.
- Time values are not localized or associated with a time zone. For example, if you enter 15:00, for 3 pm, all users see the same value.
