Change to Email Opt Out and Email Privacy Handling in Lightning

In Lightning Experience, reps with the Send Non-Commercial Email permission confirm that an email is non-commercial before it’s sent.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Who: Reps with the Send Non-Commercial Email permission can send non-commercial emails.

Why: When a rep with the Send Non-Commercial Email permission sends an email to recipients who have Email Opt Out or the Don’t Market email privacy setting, a message asks them to confirm that the email is non-commercial.

How: You must have the Email Opt Out field or Email Privacy enabled for this setting to take effect.
