Schedule an Event Series (Generally Available)

Schedule daily, weekly, monthly, or other repeating events that last until the end of time, or just through next month. Plus, when shift happens, you can update a single event or remove any events after a specific occurrence.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and all versions of the Salesforce app in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

Why: We made some improvements since the beta version of this feature.
  • If you have platform encryption enabled for the Event Description field, event series created or updated in Spring ’19 are encrypted.
  • Sales reps can update custom fields.
  • When changes are needed, sales reps can remove a single event, all events from a specific occurrence onward, and an entire series.

How: To let your reps schedule event series, on the page layout for events, add the Repeat checkbox. Then, to schedule a series, reps can select Repeat.
