Complete Your Upgrade to Salesforce Billing Spring ’19

After you upgrade to Salesforce Billing Spring ’19, make sure that you make key permission and record changes so that your sales team can get complete functionality out of the package.
Important

Important

If you use Avalara for Salesforce Billing, you must upgrade to Version 3.0 after installing Salesforce Billing Spring '19.

Where: This change applies to Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience in all Salesforce Billing editions.

Who: You need to have Salesforce CPQ to install Salesforce Billing. Some subscriptions offer this package for an extra cost. For pricing, contact your Salesforce account executive.

How: Follow these steps.

  1. On the order product object, provide Create, Write, Update, and Delete permissions to the SBQQ__OrderItemConsumptionSchedule__c field.
  2. By default, activated evergreen subscription order products created in Salesforce Billing Winter ’19 don’t have a next billing date. To invoice them in Salesforce Billing Spring ’19, deactivate and then reactivate them to calculate a next billing date. If the order products were contracted and can’t be deactivated, manually add a next billing date based on your invoicing needs.

In most cases, we don't recommend manually changing an order product's next billing date. We advise only changing it for this upgrade scenario.
