Drive Your Lightning Experience Transition from One Place

We’re making it easier for you to move your company to Lightning Experience. Starting in early 2019, the Lightning Experience Transition Assistant is your central hub for all of the recommended steps for a successful transition. It guides you through the entire process—from building a business case, evaluating your org’s readiness, and preparing your implementation to launching Lightning Experience, tracking user adoption, and, ultimately, to turning off Salesforce Classic. The Transition Assistant replaces the current Lightning Experience Migration Assistant.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

When: The Transition Assistant is available the first quarter of 2019, sometime after the Spring ’19 release is completed.

Who: To use the Transition Assistant, you must have the View Setup and Configuration and Customize Application user permissions. My Domain must be deployed in your org to use some of the tools available from the Transition Assistant.

Why: With the Transition Assistant as your guide, you can keep organized, monitor your progress, and be confident that you aren’t missing anything. It breaks things up into Discover, Roll Out, and Optimize phases for better manageability. In each phase, you get step-by-step directions and tools that speed up many transition tasks.
