Sync Person Accounts with Microsoft® Contacts
Here’s how it works. First, work with your Microsoft admin to set up Lightning Sync. If you’ve enabled person accounts in Salesforce, reps’ person accounts sync to their Microsoft contacts.
Next, let your reps know how person accounts sync with Microsoft based on the sync directions you’ve selected. For example, if reps are syncing both ways or from Exchange to Salesforce, have reps create person accounts in Salesforce only. That’s because Microsoft doesn’t have person accounts, so new contacts created from applications like Outlook sync to Salesforce as contacts instead.
