Customize Billing with Dynamic Invoice Plans

Dynamic Invoice Plans offer more flexibility for how and when you bill customers. You can define amounts, dates, or project milestones that fall outside of the standard monthly, quarterly, and annual billing cycles. For example, you can bill 10% of an order product’s total upon activation, 25% on the first delivery date, and the remainder after final delivery. This feature is new in both Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.

When you’re configuring the billing treatment for an order product, under Billing Frequency select the new field Invoice Plan from the dropdown menu. You can then create custom invoice lines to perform actions at different times using different amounts.
