Improve Performance by Limiting the Number of Open Tabs
In an ideal world, agents close console tabs as soon as they resolve a case. In the real world, we’re all guilty of leaving too many tabs open—and that can slow things down. Now you can limit the number of tabs that an agent can have open to ensure optimum performance of a console. This feature is available in Salesforce Classic only.
It’s super easy:
- In Setup, go to , and click the name of the console you want to modify.
- Click Edit.
- Check Enable Tab Limits, and select the number of tabs you want to allow in each session. (The subtab menu sets the maximum subtabs under each primary tab.)
- Click Save.
Although you can set up to 30 primary tabs and 15 subtabs, for best performance we recommend no more than 20 primary tabs and 10 subtabs.
Tab limits don’t apply to agents using Live Agent or Omni-Channel.
